WRITE Festival 2023

Our seventh WRITE Festival took place in September 2023 and was another fantastic year with events held at The Word, Cleadon Park, Jarrow Focus and Hebburn Central libraries.

We saw some new faces join us for the festival, as well as the return of some authors and performers. There was a fantastic selection of author talks including bestselling author Nancy Revell and TM Logan, as well as a History Wardrobe presentation, a Murder Mystery event and more!

For children and families we had Hyde Fundraiser Characters join us with a range of Dr Who and Star Wars themed characters, plus Booster Cushion Theatre brought their performance of Old McDonald and the Three Pigs Plus.

We had lots of workshops for writers, aspiring writer, those who write for wellbeing or just for fun, where they could get tips and advice from industry insiders.
