Writing Workshop with Helen Scarlett

Suitable for ages 16+

Booking Required

Have you ever wanted to write a Gothic novel? From Emily Bronte to Angela Carter, the Gothic is one of the most popular and enduring literary genres. Join debut author Helen Scarlett for a workshop on how to create your own chilling Gothic story. You will explore the building blocks of successful writing: how to craft unforgettable characters; invent suitably dark and ominous settings; and construct a narrative filled with secrets and devastating twists and turns. At the end of the session, you should leave with all the ingredients necessary for your very own piece of Gothic writing.

Please follow any Covid guidelines in place at the time of the event.
