Thirty People in Thirty Years – Celebrating 30 Years of The Customs House

Free

Suitable for all ages

An installation in our Ground Floor Pod which celebrates thirty inspiring and talented people whose skills originated and were developed at The Customs House.

The Customs House is celebrating 30 years of being South Tyneside’s favourite Arts Centre; where creativity knows no bounds! For three decades, they have given the opportunity for thousands of talented children, young people and creatives to shine bright on the stage and beyond.

From treading the boards to gaining invaluable life skills, their work has been defined by a commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent.

Come along and hear thirty stories, as told by those they have inspired.

At the heart of The Customs House’s talent development work, are their weekly groups in which children and young people attend regular sessions to develop their performance skills, and have the opportunity to benefit from performing on stage.
