Find out about the history of South Shields Marketplace at this drop-in event, as part of Local and Community History Month.

See a display of maps and photographs showing the history and development of the MarketPlace in South Shields from its origins in 1768, through the devastation of WWII, to the present day.

Drop in between Wednesday 8 – Tuesday 14 May during The Word’s opening times (Monday to Thursday 9am-7pm, Friday 9am-5pm, Saturday & Sunday 10am-4pm)
