South Shields Creative Writing Group was set up in 2019 and is now run by acclaimed local author Aidan K. Morrissey. Since its inception  its members have gone on to publish novels, have won prizes and recognition in poetry, novel and short story competitions with many having been published in anthologies.

The group is always looking for new members who enjoy writing and wish to hone their writing skills.

The group meets twice monthly on the first and third Sunday of each month at The Word from 1.45-3.45pm.
