To celebrate 10 years of The Word this October, Making The Invisible Visible is a new exhibition that will shine a light on the small things in life that we take for granted.

The exhibition will use everyday objects to reconnect us with friends, nature and our hometown.

Earlier this year, lead artist Eric MacLennan ran sessions with 7 local community groups in and around South Shields. Collaborators shared their objects and stories. You will be able to see the photos and objects and hear or read the hidden stories they contain and collect a map to find 102 hidden places around the town – showing invisible links with the rest of the world.
