Learn How to Laser Cut

Suitable for ages 16+

Come along to FabLab at The Word to learn how to laser cut! You will learn new skills using a graphical package, Inkscape, similar to professional packages like CorelDraw and Adobe Illustrator. Create hand drawn sketches and learn how to turn these into a digital format, you will then find out how to laser cut and engrave them onto acrylic or wood. You can begin by creating keyrings, coasters or decorations. Once trained, you will be able to attend drop-in sessions to create your own items. More advanced users have created model aircrafts, rockets and lots more!
