Hidden Histories – Regina’s Decorative Box of Valuables

Join Arbeia’s resident artist, Rachel Eleanor Brook, for an activity that explores the story of Regina and her exquisite memorial which is part of the museum collection at Arbeia South Shields Roman Fort. This activity will include short bursts of sharing and talking, combined with various activities for different ages, with colouring-in for younger children. The final activity will be to design and embellish a box to take home, inspired by Regina’s decorative box of valuables.
This is a relaxed activity where people can participate as much or as little as they wish.
This event is part of the Hidden Histories exhibition programme at The Word.
The activity takes place on the following dates/times:
- Wednesday 22 February, 10-11.30am at Cleadon Park Library -SOLD OUT
- Thursday 23 February, 11am-12.30pm at The Word – SOLD OUT
This workshop is suitable for children and families and all ages. Bookings can be made via the links above.
The activity is FREE but booking is required due to limited capacity.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Spaces need to booked for both children and adults.
