An introduction to calligraphy

£1 per person (plus booking fee) – pack to be picked up from The Word prior to session.

Suitable for ages 16+

Join us for this fun calligraphy session.

This session is perfect for beginners to calligraphy – just pick up your pack from The Word from Saturday 10 October with everything you need and a video will be available via YouTube from 2pm on Tuesday 20 October for you to follow along with.

You will learn how to do a uncial script and learn the basics of the calligraphy pen and how it works, how to rule up guidelines and then the alphabet.

Booking information

You must book a ticket via EventBrite – 1 ticket will equal 1 pack. Once you have booked your place, you can pick your pack up from The Word from Saturday 10 October.

You will be emailed a link to the step by step YouTube video at 2pm on Tuesday 20 October to complete the workshop. You will still be able to access the video any time after the event by using the link or by visiting The Word’s YouTube channel.
