Award-winning dramatist, Steve Chambers, will be joining us to discuss his novel The Dark Months, a fast-moving thriller mainly set in north east England.

About Steve Chambers

Steve Chambers has written for film, TV, radio and stage. His work includes ‘Casualty’ and ‘Byker Grove’ and feature film ‘Hold Back the Night’ starring Sheila Hancock (which opened Critics Week at the Cannes Film Festival).

The Dark Months is a fast moving thriller mainly set in north east England. When Pauline takes pity on a dishevelled stranger, she’s just being a good Samaritan. The stranger is a former soldier from undercover operations. He’s on the run from a poisons lab who’ve created an untraceable new poison. Despite Pauline’s efforts to regain normality, her good turn sucks her into a deadly world of clandestine agents and terrible secrets.
