Come and join us on this lovely walk down to the harbour.
Full description of walk
This little ramble will take us down to the sea front where we will follow the path along the promenade, past the Weebles and up to the Herd Groyne Lighthouse. We will then follow the riverside walk back to the town centre. It you’re lucky, you may get a close-up view of a passing ship.

- Total height climbed along the route – 176 ft
- Terrain – Good footpaths (concrete or tarmac) throughout the walk. There are some moderately steep paths within the South Marine Park.
- Steps – There are large sets of steps leading up into the North Marine Park and walking down to the riverside path. However, these can both be avoided with a very slight detour.
- Wheelchair accessible – No
- Toilets – There are toilets at The Word and at the Haven Point Carpark.
