Adults
FabLab @ The Word is available for all adults to use no matter what their end goal is!
New to FabLab?
I have no design experience, can I still use the FabLab?
If you’re not from a design background and simply want to have a go at using the state-of-the-art machines then book onto a one-off course where our trained specialists will walk you through creating your own keepsake.
Can I use the machines in my own time to support a project/hobby?
If you have a project or hobby that would benefit from using the machines we offer a ‘learn how to’ course where our staff will provide training to enable you to use the equipment on your own during our drop-in sessions. From creating bike parts on our 3D printers to creating a family tree on our laser cutters, FabLab @ The Word can support you through your project.
Once trained, you can book slots at our drop-in sessions which run:
- Mondays, 4-6pm
- Tuesdays, 9.30-11.30am
- Wednesdays, 2-4pm
- Thursdays, 2-4pm
We can also offer more advanced sessions that show you greater functionality of the technology to support project based activities.
Can I arrange a private session for myself?
Private sessions can be arranged – get in touch to find out more.
