Mark Illis, who has written for EastEnders, The Bill and Emmerdale, will be joining us to host 2 separate workshops for both beginners and more experienced writers. The first will focus on structure and the second will look at dialogue.
Structure workshop, 10.30am-12.30pm
Where do you begin your script, and how do you end it? How do you keep the reader engaged and interested through the middle of your piece? We’ll use individual work and group work to explore how to shape your story.

About Mark Illis
Mark writes for TV and radio, (The Bill, EastEnders, Peak Practice, Emmerdale, and lately Jamie Johnson) has written a prize-winning screenplay and has had five novels for adults published and two for Young Adults. He’s currently working on the CBBC show Jamie Johnson, and is developing an original drama with Hulu. His novel THE IMPOSSIBLE was published in 2017 and the sequel, THE IMPOSSIBLE: ON THE RUN, came out in July 2018. He lives in Yorkshire with his wife and two children.
