Join us at The Word for an evening with Peter Mitchell, son of When The Boat Comes In creator, James Mitchell, and Katy Weir, the director of the new play at The Customs House with the same title.
Ahead of the upcoming play, which will be based on the much loved 1970’s TV series set in Tyneside, Peter will talk about why he’s decided to adapt his father’s work for stage and why he’s revisiting the characters, while Katy will talk about the current production, casting and her take on the play.
If you’re a fan of the TV series or heading to see the upcoming stage show, this event is not to be missed!
Doors open at 5.45pm.
