An introduction to developing and structuring short films.
Writer Bridget Deane (Emmerdale, EastEnders) will share an overview of screenwriting, drawing on her own experience working in television and film. Sharing insights into how to develop ideas for short films, Bridget will also look at how to develop a career in writing for TV and film.
This informal and relaxed class is open to all.

About Bridget Deane
Bridget is a scriptwriter who has worked across TV, film, radio and theatre.
Before becoming a writer, Bridget worked for ten years as a BAFTA winning documentary producer and director on numerous network productions for BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, ITV and ABC America.
As a writer, Bridget has written for Radio 3, Emmerdale (ITV) EastEnders (BBC), Live Theatre, Northern Stage, etc. Her short film, The Ball, has won numerous awards at international festivals and made the BAFTA 2012 long-list. Bridget was also a finalist in The Funny Women Writers Awards (2015), and currently has a comedy series in development with Newcastle-based Scattered Pictures and BBC Studios.
