Award-winning novelist Mari Hannah will join us for a Q&A session that will dive into her career. Find out what inspired her to become a writer, where she gets her ideas from and more, this is an event you do not want to miss!

About Mari Hannah

Scriptwriter and author, Mari Hannah won the Polari First Book Prize for her debut The Murder Wall and a Northern Writers’ Award for her second novel, Settled Blood. Her body of work won her CWA Dagger in the Library 2017, long listed for the Dublin International Literary Award 2017 and is a finalist in the Journal Culture Awards 2017 for Writer of the Year. Her Kate Daniels crime series is in development with Stephen Fry’s production company, Sprout Pictures. She is currently the reader-in-residence for the Theakston’s Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival.

Following on from the success of The Silent Room, DS Matthew Ryan will be back in Mari Hannah’s latest novel. This time he teams up with Det. Supt. Eloise O’Neil in a newly formed unit. The Death Messenger will be published on Thursday, November 16th 2017.
